Top 10 Reasons Why Women Can’t Get Pregnant – Part 1

by Admin

Why can’t I get pregnant? Truthfully there are so many factors that affect a woman’s ability to conceive and a man’s ability to impregnate. But among all those factors there at least 10 most common valid answers to your question.

Answer #1: Not enough sex

It is very easy for any couple at times like these to be carried away by an active and hectic lifestyle. Young couples, especially, can be too busy focusing on their careers that they eventually find themselves often too tired to share intimate evenings together. Having sex once a week or every other week is just not enough to get pregnant

Answer #2: Too much sex at the wrong time

A woman can only get pregnant during her ovulation cycle. That is the only time that your body releases an egg that can be fertilized by the sperm of your partner. If you have sex everyday even if you are not ovulating, then you risk the chances of reducing your partner’s sperm count. So if you are finding it difficult to get pregnant, try to abstain from intercourse during the days you are not ovulating and have sex every other day during your ovulation cycle.

Answer #3: You or your partner smokes

Do you or your partner smoke tobacco? Numerous studies show that a single stick of tobacco cigarette contains at least 5,000 dangerous and carcinogenic substances. So not only does this reduce your capability to conceive it is also a great threat to your baby’s overall health just in case you are already pregnant. Smoking has also been proven to reduce a male’s sperm count. So if you can’t get pregnant, now is the time to quit.

Answer #4: Excessive alcohol intake

You may not be aware that drinking more than 4 units of alcohol in one week makes you borderline alcoholic. Being an alcoholic reduces your ability to conceive by one third. If you can’t get pregnant and you and your partner truly want to give birth to a healthy baby, you have to consider living healthy without tobacco and alcohol.

Answer #5: Unhealthy diet

There are kinds of food that decreases your chances of getting pregnant just as much as there are kinds of food that increases it. A 2007 US study suggests that low fat dairy foods consumed daily can reduce a woman’s fertility by affecting her normal ovulation. Fish that are high in mercury and Trans fats are also found to be detrimental to a woman’s ovulatory fertility.

On the other there are food groups that are considered “fertility foods” like dairy, which is rich in calcium; lean protein like turkey, chicken and beef, which are rich in iron; complex carbohydrates, fatty fish, berries, and liver which is the highest source of folic acid.

On my next post, I will list the other five reasons why women can’t pregnant. See you then.
