Why Can’t I Get Pregnant – Professional Help

by Admin

Why can’t I get pregnant? It seems like it should be the easiest and most natural thing in the world to get pregnant. But for some couple that’s just not the case. In fact according to a recent US survey, there are about 6 million American couples who meet the definition of infertile. This means 6 million couples in America are not able to get pregnant even if they engage in non-protected and well timed sex for a year or more. Fortunately, there are many alternatives available to help reverse infertility.

Why can’t I get pregnant? – Consult with your Gynecologist

If you have been trying to get pregnant for more than a year with no success then it is time to consult with your gynecologist. It is also advisable to see a gynecologist if you are over 35 and trying to conceive. Your doctor would initially order a series of blood exams for you and your partner. The first exam would be a blood work that will assess your overall hormone levels, your glandular function and your ovarian reserve. An ovarian reserve will determine how much eggs you have left in your ovaries. Simultaneously, your doctor would also check the quantity and quality of your partner’s sperm through a sperm analysis.

You may also have to undergo a hysterosalpingogram (HSG). This is a medical procedure that will determine if you have blocked fallopian tubes. In the event that you have been suffering from painful menstrual periods, your doctor might also have you take a laparoscopy procedure. This is a test that will assess if you suffer from a very common cause of infertility called endometriosis.

Why can’t I get pregnant? – Consult a Reproductive Endocrinologist

A Reproductive Endocrinologist (RE) is a doctor specializing in reproductive medicine and infertility. If your OBGYNE is unable to help you conceive he or she may refer you to one. An RE is who you consult if you are considering more aggressive fertility treatments such as hyper stimulation of the ovaries, intrauterine insemination (IUI), artificial insemination, or in-vitro fertilization. Your RE will order a series of tests and he will formulate a plan on how you can get pregnant based on the results.

Why Can’t I Get Pregnant – Consider the Non-Traditional Family

There might come a time when you have to accept that getting pregnant is just not meant for you. So if you and your partner have gotten all the professional help available to no avail, know that it is still possible for you to be proud and happy parents through adoption or foster care.

These are the most common professionals couples turn to if they have a difficult time getting pregnant. However, before going to these specialists, I suggest you read The Miracle Pregnant Book. I have been asking myself “Why Can’t I Get Pregnant?” for seven years. And just like a miracle I got pregnant 3 months after reading this very helpful EBook. Get it HERE.
